I no I am one lucky man and if I'm honest it's down to the understanding and hard work of my wife, I try and tell her it's because I don't smoke don't drink to much and have never been one for holidays but the truth is I'm a addict to the feel of a nice car. Jumping back to the holiday thing a friend of mine has just come back from 10 days away and he spent more than I have just brought a m roadster for!

Well the car has arrived and first impression was good ,there are a few areas that are not mint but it is a 15 year old car and it was cheap.
Engine sounds as it should pulls well and to be honest does not sound or feel any different than my coupe with 83000 on the clock, history reads well and hpi clear on all counts.
body work is as expected few stone chips on the front ,small area on bottom of wing where lacquer has lifted ,front valance could do with a paint to make look a bit better already had the guy that does my paint have a look and had quote at 500 to make look mint. Engine bay clean hardtop in very good condition as is the cover and stand, wont get to look at the soft top for a while but already know has small hole in rear screen but rest is meant to be good condition, all electrics work central locking works of key but not of button on key (hope this is the battery but who knows.wheels are all good small scrape on one i mean small and tyres are 25% worn

slight wear on drivers seat but not bad ,got my concerns with centre leather as i can not remember my let one having leather with little dots in but maybe someone could advice me on this,if they have been re-trimed in a different leather i will look out for some more or have these redone as it will drive me mad.
All in all pleased with purchase as it stands i will get christmas out the way have paint done then it will look mint stand me in 5300 so i still think it a very cheap m and a lot of fun for the money

verdict : honest car looks like you get what you see and what you see is not bad ,i have brought mint before at top money only to find they have been tarted up and catch you unaware nowadays but cars with there faults and all sort them out and end up with a car i know is good not just hope it is,if anyone cane advice me on the seat covering issue i would be grateful

Looks Like a good honest car to me, Its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Not many people would want to buy a Z3M for a daily drive due to running costs, and the Winter months don't help with sales, Well done in my opinion a Bargain...

had chance to sit down and go through vast pile of service bills ext and all reads like it has been well looked after through its life rear boot diff area was done in 2008
mileage on april 4 2011 on mot was 128910 then in 9-6-2011 in went into grosvenor motor company (independent bmw garage) and had nearly every filter gasket and bush and hose possible changed to the sum of 2462.25 so they should be good for a while.
Just the seat issue to sort as I'm sure they have been re-trimed and would prefer std ,so will be on the look out for pair of black seats then sell these there in good shape just i don't think centre leather is right

Must admit that pic of the leather on the back rest doesn't look quite right maybe pic in daylight would show up better. Bmw did do a spotted leather but the dots were just a raised pimpled pattern with uniform colour but I am sure the centre section should be smooth leather on the ///M without going and having a look at mine (too cold tonight maybe tomorrow).

I agree leather does not look right so think they have been re-trimed it's not what I had in my last one and it's not the same as my coupe .so I will be on the look out for some black seats in good nick then sell these on not that there is anything wrong with them I just prefer the smooth centre

Is the leather standard in an ///M?, mines plain, I know you can choose what colour you like, maybe the buyer preferred leather with dots.
Are the door cards the same leather finish? or plain

picture of leather in question sorry not to good as light has gone and flash making it glareView attachment 3392

Door cards are plain as outer of seat all good match. Think I may be being a bit anal about this as they are in good nick but once I get something in my head I struggle to let it go

Can't find the photos, but the black ///M Coupe seats I had for a while had plain black leather in the centres.

It maybe if the dots didn't look so light, you probably wouldn't pay so much attention to them.

Have you thought of punching you VIN into one of the vin checker sites (see below) to see if it comes up with an option against your car, you never know it may have been a factory option.

had a good look and i think that these have been recovered as stitching ext is not the same as on my coupe(single stitch not double) so i will be on the look out for some black ones then sell these on but no rush as these are in good condition and look ok but just would prefer plain leather hopefully a set will come up for sale at reasonable money

It certainly is with that power and no driver aids , it makes me realise that my driving skills are not as good as I thought they were, has made me miss a beat and nearly mess my pants on more than one occasion! I'll give you a shout if I am in Guildford area equally give me one if you venture down to battle way
