Now don't be harsh Stacey, that's cost BMW millions to get to that point! I saw I a photo of a possible new Z3 coming out I really liked it but never heard anything of it since.

I had this exact discussion with someone last night. The shape is deliberately obscured so you can't make out exactly what it's going to look like. It's a test bed car, so is being used to test the chassis and drive train rather than give people a sneak peak of the design.

Just gonna have to wait until BMW reveal it properly to see what it actually looks like. That said, BMW's design team have been putting out some incredibly bland looking cars recently, so I'm not holding my breath. It's also not due till 2018, so whatever they do now will likely be refined as time goes on...

Agreed Gaz, not just BMW either. If I was a German company car user I have always said I'd go with Audi but to be fair I think they have gone bland as well and Merc have really lost the plot, they are just bloody awful looking things at the moment.

Why make a fresh model, why not just market it as a facelift Z4 going back to grass roots with the rag top. It's like the Golf conv and the Eos, how many Golf convs so you see nowadays?
