The dishes on mine are aluminium (single piece) and when I had them redone I had the lips diamond cut but not lacquered. It's more effort now to keep smart and don't use them in the winter but I love the look and can control the shine - lacquer on the dishes, especially the rear seems to get broken by the stones get collected in the dish at speed.You may struggle on the refurb as the Stainless inners are pressed on. You may have to take it to a specialist refurber who can handle these sort of wheels as i took mine to a few just to have curbing marks removed and they all said they would not do a full refurb unless spraying the rim as well which then makes the wheels look s--t as i had this done to a set of Cades Tyres Deep Dish
Not sure if the same can be done with stainless, i.e. Leave it unlacqered and polish from time to time - should be easier care than aluminium which oxidizes immediately.
