Had a dentist appointment at 8.45 this morning so i went in the coupe as a treat lol. However after leaving the dentist i had the bright idea to go for a little spin where there are a few hairpin corners 5 mins away usually good fun . Not so much today as my small bag of talent ran out very quickly, and we ended up on a ditch something i haven't done since my teens. What i will say you have to be really silly to lose the back end of my coupe the susgives you so much grip until it doesnt then things happen really quickly and i wasnt up to the job lol . Next time im going to the dentist in the pickup.

Hope not too much damage Hugh. Possibly more to your pride than the car by the look of it?.

Hugh hope no big damage done to the underside of the car. Pride does take a bashing though, fair play to you for sharing the experience. Coupes are renown for letting go when right at the limit, mine let go and stepped out at a round-a-about which was a bit damp/slick last year when my tyres were getting towards end of their life. No damage done but god knows what the car following me thought!!! A result of a fraction too much throttle and adverse road/tyre conditions. The tyres were due for replacement so bought new set shortly afterwards. No problems since.
In the dry on a Croft track day with my first Coupe a number of years ago, the car never lost traction no matter how hard I tried, the grip from those rear tyres was phenomenal. :coolsteer)

I was just about to be overtaken by an Ariel Atom that's why the indicator was on! Only got a thumbnail of the overtake.

The last time I ended up in a ditch, was my mini back in college days. Up early in the morning and “borrowed” a tractor and chain from the farm at Brackenhurst College of Agriculture where I was on block release. Luckily I had already learned from my future father in law how to extract vehicle’s from dykes without causing any more damage.

At least you are fine to laugh about it.

Drove from Norwich to Hull this morning for work as I have done plenty of times. Road went to the left but luckily there was a farm track straight ahead. That's the corner I found out it was minus 2 and the car didn't want to turn.

Gorgeous car and hope there is no harm underside. Grass looks nice and soft.

Hope rear suspension not taken too much of a blow.

Little update luckily I know a friendly farmer to pul me out and a couple more inches and it could of been a lot worse and it would of been on it’s side. I could lose the back of the roadster much easier if that’s an excuse. The car seems to drive ok except for a small split in the front bumper as I’d almost caught it so it was heading the right way just a little off road however I’ve learned my lesson and found my limits a lot of harm. Just to confirm I was within the national speed limit ......just

Could have been way worse you should be able to get that repaired without too much hassle on its side or roof and it would be getting scrapped and having seen your coupe that would be such a shame so it's great news that it's only the bumper .
On a lighter note now I know you have a dash cam in that coupe at times if it was on take it that footage is never going to see the light of day =)) =)).

Top marks for posting your screw up, not many of us would be so open. Really glad the car escaped serious damage and you are in one piece to laugh it off. It could have been much worse, it could easily have been me. 👍

Was at the dentist yesterday after breaking a tooth in half just before Christmas. That was expensive enough. Think I got off lightly now though.

And what or when is 8:45am?

Next time, take more air with the gas
