Could have been way worse you should be able to get that repaired without too much hassle on its side or roof and it would be getting scrapped and having seen your coupe that would be such a shame so it's great news that it's only the bumper .
On a lighter note now I know you have a dash cam in that coupe at times if it was on take it that footage is never going to see the light of day =)) =)).

Stephen.
Ask him about the 107 in a 75...................................Frankie

Had a dentist appointment at 8.45 this morning so i went in the coupe as a treat lol. However after leaving the dentist i had the bright idea to go for a little spin where there are a few hairpin corners 5 mins away usually good fun . Not so much today as my small bag of talent ran out very quickly, and we ended up on a ditch something i haven't done since my teens. What i will say you have to be really silly to lose the back end of my coupe the susgives you so much grip until it doesnt then things happen really quickly and i wasnt up to the job lol . Next time im going to the dentist in the pickup. View attachment 213101View attachment 213103View attachment 213105View attachment 213107View attachment 213109View attachment 213111
Glad to hear you weren't injured and the car is relatively ok. Do you need Frankie for a little more ballast?.....................Frankie

Some things are better not seen lol. But the underneath of the coupe has a story to tell View attachment 213253
Can you imagine this: Hugh leaves the dentist after getting some work done requiring laughing gas. Slides off the road into a ditch. Gets out of the car laughing. Two old ladies drive by and take notice as say to each other: "Isn't it odd how some people react to trouble with the car?"

Car is in great shape, to be fair i shouldn’t of been drifting around a wet corner, and I realise my talent bag has shrunk along with a number of other items lol

I can imagine the mix of emotions from a dentist appointment to a little joyride. It's funny how things can take a turn so quickly, especially on those hairpin corners.
I remember a similar experience when I was younger, thinking I could handle any curve in the road until reality hit. It's humbling, to say the least.
Finding a good dentist is like finding a hidden gem. I found one worth the drive; it makes all the difference. If you ever need a recommendation, I had a great experience with jeffreygrossdds.com. They might be able to help you out too.

I was reading your post and something that I hadn't thought about in many years popped into my head. I had read that of all medical professionals, dentists have the highest divorce rate. I guess putting up with all the pain their patients have takes its toll.................Frankie

The last time I ended up in a ditch, was my mini back in college days. Up early in the morning and “borrowed” a tractor and chain from the farm at Brackenhurst College of Agriculture where I was on block release. Luckily I had already learned from my future father in law how to extract vehicle’s from dykes without causing any more damage.

Tony.
Ah. Now that we're reminiscing. Many moons ago I spun out on a bend. My, then, Opel Manta (mk1), me and 3 mates went sideways into a plowed field. Must have gone 25mtrs sideways into the field. A back tyre popped off the rim. Managed to get back onto the road, changed the wheel and off we went.

Actually. I have a few such stories. Thinking back I was a real d*ck head back then.

So nobody else is worried that an AI robot is reviving threads and is posting various ad links?
This is the third thread that was attacked...

Nah. That's above my pay grade.

Having said that I've never seen that giant robot picture till you showed it in your reply.

Thought AI was meant to be clever? Reviving an old thread about a spun Coupe in Wales to advertise a Dentist in Ohio🤔

Its a known pattern.
they search for keywords, use parts from a wikipedia article as an intro and then they post the ad link.
quite clever and doing well. One thing they can not read so far is the date of the post, but their work is done nevertheless.
we have quite a few of them around.

Especially popular/common forum programs such as phpBB and vBulletin. The bots are programmed to do automatic sign up on such popular forums, as well as this one, so can find, sign up and post to 1000's of different forums at the same time.

Forum sign up needs to use stronger captcha or ask a question that, hopefully, only a human could answer.

I think I may be a robot, as I never get the "how many traffic lights can you see in the 9 images" questions right.

Anyway...one plus from the 'bot' post, is that I got an appointment with the Ohio dentist quicker than I can in the UK; and with flight costs it still works out cheaper! :p

They always seem to find the worst possible picture to ask you questions about. It's never really THAT clear for you to make a decision about what you're actually seeing. Now if they used an old Playboy pin-up and said, How many blocks contain a person?, there would be no chance for error....Frankie.
