Just in case this helps I'm running 18s with 225x40x8.5 on the front with 245x 9.5 on rear 35et all round, they have a nice mild stretched look and so far no problems at all, not sure if you'd actually need or want the spacers on front or back, running Nexen 8000s all round and going from 17s to 18s have noticed no ride discomfort albeit the Nexens are a soft summer tyre. Hope this does not add to any confusion. Rha, Roy.;)

Hi Roy
I've opted for 225 40 18 on the front and 235 40 18 on the rears as they are not staggered alloys....they are all 8x18 with et35 offset......tyres are bridgestone potenza all round as the alloy wheel refurbishers gave me a fair price on the existing budget tyres that were fitted when I bought the wheels

They should be ready for collection today or tomorrow so hopefully have a play about with the rears at the weekend re the 20mm spacers

Nice one Topperz, :thumbsup:can't wait to see your pics, being non staggered I'm thinking like you and the spacers will hopefully push the rears out to just about the limit and maybe make all the difference to the stance, don't know what it will drive like ref tramlineing, fingers crossed it doesn't make it worse. Roy.------

Adding spacers on my staggered set up didn't cause any handling problems but it went round corners much better.
20mm on the rear and 12mm on the front. Looked much better too.

Tony.

Like the 18s on your Z3 they really suit the car, can't really tell if the stance has improved in the photos, it's usually really noticeable when viewing from behind and down the side without the shadow, you've obviously seen for yourself and I can't wait to have a look. Really like the overall look of your black Z. All it needs now is a spoiler=))-------;)Rha,Roy.
