This is without doubt my favorite mod and they look bloody brilliant in the flesh, both lights took 2 hours 15 mins
For £30 this is serious value for money

Once hot, start to pull at one end, it comes with ease once hot enough

To get the halo behind the lens you have to split the light again as it is bonded in 2 places

Halo,s glued in place using 2 component epoxy and orange lens removed

wires are simply threaded over the reflector and out of the rubber seals

Very discrete and OEM look once switched off

I thought about Hoogy today and had a little snigger to myself, it only takes 5 mins with a hot gun

Mate those heat guns are brilliant but they only last about 6 months which is a benefit as we have 2 and the company we get them off just swap them when they break so we constantly have a new supply

They are a tool with a short life span if used regularly to be fair. But they're very useful thing to have. My old one croaked a few years ago and we sort of inherited Shirl's dad's when he passed away. Still working too.

What are those like from a distance Sean as I switched to LEDs as I found previous CFFL not to great but might have been the kit I bought. The ones I have are bright but the white is too much time towards blue for my liking.

Not sure about distance as I am never that far from the car with the lights on as for colour they are nothing like the pic, they are very cold white

Thats the problem with this forum, its cost me a bloody fortune, when I bought a z it was just for a bit of fun, then I wanted a 2.8, if you had of told me 2 years ago that I would buy a £700 banger and spend the best part of 4k on it as well as 300 hours labour I would have had you locked up , they are just so addictive.
To reseal the lights just reheat the glue, you need to get it so the oil comes to the surface and be very quick getting it back togther as it cools and starts to set
