New badge inserts have self adhesive pads on the back easy to put on.
be careful not to punch yourself in the face during the process!!
Yes, when they come off they do so at some speed. Keep your nose out of the way@Geoff Crispin for got to add this.
That sounds like a plan Geoff, where did you get the insertsWould you not consider replacing the plastic insert with the gear positions on which is what I did, cheaper that a new complete knob.
Forget that mate, just found them on ebayhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Genuine-M-5-Speed-Gear-Knob-Badge-Emblem-Black-E36-3-Series-25111221613/201419456223?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3Dcad37984f60d4251a9d56c9b37ea924d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D321611739852That sounds like a plan Geoff, where did you get the inserts
@Geoff Crispin, do you know if the E36 badge fits the Z3, they are coming up as non compatible.Hi Sean
Sorry for slow reply but been out.
I got mine from Benham Wolverhampton on Ebay 2nd October 15 £7.88 inc. postage.it was the best price that I could find and good quality. Much cheaper than a new knob.
Thats great thanks Geoff, just put the number in real OEM and it gives the same models as the one advertised on ebay but for some strange reason doesn't list the z3 just the z1Hi Sean
The part number of mine is B25.11.1.221.613 which is the E36 Gearstick Emblem.
