UPDATE.
Ok people a little update and some important information that needs to be understood.
Had a lovely visit to Tedworth House today to sort out some of the finer details with Caroline from Help 4 Heros. As we are on an MOD base, I have been asked to ask all those attended to send a copy of the insurance cover notes for the cars concerned. It seems to be an MOD thing, as the premises is the old officers mess at the Tidworth Garrison and is still an active MOD base.
Photographs will be allowed only where the cars are located and at the entrance. No photographs are allowed of the front of the building which fronts the Southern Polo Grounds. Not sure why but its an MOD stipulation.
Now the good bits.
Assemble at 11am on the entrance road to the H4H centre. This is so that we can organise the cars into the right spaces inside the premises. The main event, will be as follows.
12:00 hrs.
The event is open to H4H residents and families.
12:30 hrs.
BBQ will be started and food will be served until about 15:00 hrs.
12:00 - 14:00 hrs.
A magician will be around for the families and who ever else ...
13:30 - 15:30 hrs.
The band called Burbank will be playing to entertain everybody.
16:00 hrs onwards.
Event will finish and we can either go and find a nice place for a meal or drive to wherever we fancy. Its a lovely area.
Those wishing to park up and not drive out are welcome to do so. I need to know this so that they can be positioned at the right location in the venue.
All others can take it in turns to go for a drive with a passenger which is what its all about.
Over all the day is about giving something back to the forces vets who have given us so much. Not a lot to ask.
I was hoping to run a raffle, but due to lack of gifts from companies. This is not now possible.
If you can please confirm via PM that you are attending and if you could also send a copy of your insurance so that I can forward this as a few emails to H4H and they can pass this on to the relevant MOD person.
Looking forward to this and it will be something different for us.
