That's something I really miss from being a kid Andy, when we left our house the other week we passed through Marton a couple of miles away and back in the mid 60's you could see the stars at night, no chance now unless there's a power cut.lack of man made light at night.
That's sweet Tony. Me and my little'un will often stand outside the back door at night looking up at the stars as it's like the black hole of Calcutta here. That's something I really miss from being a kid Andy, when we left our house the other week we passed through Marton a couple of miles away and back in the mid 60's you could see the stars at night, no chance now unless there's a power cut.
When we first went to Florida with the Make-a wish- foundation in 1994 the place we stayed was just of a main highway but the stars shone over that place at night. When we got home I was talking to Carla about it and she asked why there were no stars at home. Hard to explain to a 5 year old. Anyway one night before she left us there was a power cut and I bundled her up in a blanket and took her outside to show her that there were indeed some stars at home, so she asked where had they been?
Tony.
Works for me Ian! And my car can sit outside it's not Afraid of dirt, rain or snow like some Zeds. @t-tony that brought a tear to me eye! Very touching! @Andy McDonnell an old shed with a sleeping bag works for me! JIMI think there might be a few of us sharing
