I have the same problem Ian. Weather permitting the jet washer will be out!
All 4 cars cleaned. That was a marathon. Lost an hour dropping a neighbour off at the station. Lost another 45 minutes for a bacon buttie break. No contest there.

Emptied out Jonathan's skip and vac'd it so its presentable inside and out for its MoT. Lights, wipers tyres checked. No broken springs (as far as I can tell)
It will be going into storage for a few months soon.

Removed my wind deflector from mine @t-tony. Roof waxed too.

Tried removing the problematic Vanos solenoids on mine to see if cleaning will improve the issues there, but, they wouldn't budge after the bolt was removed. Didn't want a stranded car on the drive so I whimped out of forcing them out.
An all round busy day. I'll take my medal now thank you

Here's the clean car @Paul Rice

Hell No!. I jibbed out and made myself a cheese, tomato and bacon omelette after all.

Tony.

Just point worth noting for anyone else considering a Z4 hardtop.

I'd read posts warning about the limited clearance between the boot lid and the rear screen glass on the hardtop. It really is limited - on mine with the boot open, clearance is only 4-5 mm. If you just let the boot pop open on it's own, I can see the boot hitting and potentially breaking the rear screen as it hits the stops and flexes on the hinges. Not heard of anyone breaking the glass but - Just be careful!

Ooh, BMW Z4 design flaw eh...... I had a boot rack on my Z3 and with the boot lid up it was not even near the rear window.
