Was down your way at the weekend as at the Goodwood Revival
Looked like a good event - my boss went. Never been, but done the Festival of Speed in the past.

Dave what time do you aim to arrive ?
Geoff
Whoever gets there first, save some spaces, using cones, jumpers or just some legendary BMW parking.

Hi guys... hopefully the weather next Sunday is better than it was today ... . I done a dry run today from Bristol to the museum where I got some info about the event and a return trip via cheddar gorge ..

For those wishing to travel down with me next week.. ( south Wales lads) plus anyone else I propose a meeting point at Gordano services on the Portishead exit on the M5 southbound.

From there .. we travel towards bristol on the A369 where we will pick up the south bristol ring road via the A370 at Cumberland Basin..

The South Bristol ring road will take us to the A37 which we will follow to Shepton mallet where we pick up the A371 which we follow to the museum.. .. I've probably made it sound complicated but its pretty straightforward and a nice drive of mostly country road...

For those returning to bristol with me we will be following the same route A371 and A37 but will be heading across the mendips via the B3135.. this is a great driving road with great countryside .. this road will eventually take us down the cheddar gorge where hopefully we can stop for some pictures etc.

On leaving Cheddar we will head back towards Bristol via Shipham where we will pick up the A38 which will take us to the South Bristol ring road .. I have arranged a coffee stop before we go our separate ways at a local country hotel on the outskirts of bristol.. ( hotel was on the hotel inspector tv programme)

Excuse my lack of detail. This is the first time I've done anything like this before but I'm hoping it will all turn out ok on the night lol...

Times....

After speaking to Haynes museum today about the breakfast club it appears a very very popular event with different clubs .. I hoping to speak to Haynes tomorrow about reserving some parking for us in the main car park as Apparently the main car park fills up pretty quickly with cars arriving from 7.30 onwards to secure the main car park spaces .. ..

From the Gordano services meeting point its gunna take us around 90mins to get to Haynes ..
It may mean a earlier start than I thought if were unable to secure the reserved parking..

I will post meeting times tomorrow once I know about the parking

Thanks all for the support

Dave
