The plastic on the outside was discoloured @Shelly. I sanded it back with sanding discs then polished them up with a headlamp restoration polish. If yours is getting moisture in it I would think the headlamp seal where it meets the back of the glass/plastic lamp has failed.

Taken the old pipe smoker for MOT this morning and it's passed with a couple of advisories. Handbrake not great, couple of brake pipes and bit of sill corrosion on one side. Made my bloody day after the crap were having with Jues car at the moment. :)
Good to see you have some positive news @Grumpy at last. Congrats on the pass

If the condensation is minor @ Shelly you can try pulling the bulbs from the rear and holding a hair dryer aimed at the bulb hole to dry it!! Make it a real hair dressers car! Hope it works!! JIM

Thanks mate. Yep we've ran around in it this afternoon and it's not to bad to be honest. I'll use it for work as soon as we've got Jues car sorted. Until then she's using it and I'm in the zed.

Oopsy :meh:
The Sorento did seem a good buy at first though,a real shame it's turned out this way. Makes you wonder if the previous owner had these problems and masked them to shift it on.
It's usually me that buys the basket cases .

l've learnt that when it comes to vehicles that the past is gone and move on with what you have. Either fix it or move it. We've all got regrets about something we've sold and replaced but look to the future and don't dwell, you did what you did for a particular reason, didn't work out so don't dwell! Good luck! JIM

Probably got a stone chip in the glass, on the big old head lights on the old Merc's, as a temp repair, we would stick a match stick in the hole.
It's the Z HT :p

Think he's looked after you there Shelly. A certain person may come and bite my arse but I thought it affected your light beam meaning a fail. Could be wrong of course......probably am! ;)
