Go for it! I'd be really chuffed if you wanted to use one.
I thought I had posted, but did not see it on this pass through, that it would be worth you talking to Patrick at Rouge Motorsports as he (on behalf of the 750 motor club) was developing the "standard" car for the Z3 2.8 race series which is now not getting off the ground. PAtrick still has the 750 Motorclubs modified Car. However they did loads of work and have loads of useful info. tell him I said to talk to him as he has been very helpful to me and has done all that help and not sold me anything except the lowered springs I use on "Black for the track". On the weight side of things he took off the bonnet and had mould done and replaced it with a fibreglass one which he can obviously supply it helped with the weight distribution front to rear. (he also sold the original bonnet on Ebay for what I would call silly money,he also used Gaz Gold Coilovers which I think he still has a load of stock off due to the race series not taking off. I met him when I was looking at changing "Black for the Track" due to breaking a spring. However when I saw what he had done to the Zed I did not have the heart to do that to my car. [I am still not sure what I am going to do as my capabilities improve on track (I do Track days at present and do not think I will want to race)]The weight has been a major focus so far. We've got it down to about 1100kg without me in the drivers seat, so its going in the right direction. I have a friend who is very good with fibreglass moulds, so the intention is to take even more weight out of the bodywork.
Ref my last post you might well find that the MR2's know all about Rogue Motorsports as well.So we gave the Z3 it's debut at Snetterton in the 750MC Roadsports, and got ourselves on the podium! Finished 3rd in class behind a Porsche Boxster and a Mazda RX8.
Also came in 5th overall with two Mk3 Toyota MR2's running engines from the Lotus Evora making up the extra positions.
