Ang on. So I'm supposed to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and then connect the charger to the auxiliary jump-start terminal and ground under the bonnet?

How will that charge the battery when the battery isn't connected to the circuit. [Head scratch emoji]

According to the manual charging / conditioning should be done under the bonnet using the jump-start terminal 🤓

It tells you how to charge the battery - then it tells you to disconnect the earth lead before doing any work to the electrical system.

=))

It is a good top tip about disconnecting if you plan to not use the car.

I guess they mean that charging the battery is not classed as "Doing electrical work" so the battery can be charged via the under bonnet terminals WITHOUT disconnecting the battery (because if you disconnected the battery it wouldn't charge)
