Me too.
Overall very happy but miss the bling of my older style unit:
I love the green alpine buttons, real throwback to my teens!
The new unit is actually much sleeker and discreet being all black.
Will look even better on pre facelift consoles I reckon.
The sleeker face and fewer buttons make it much less fiddly to use when on the move, major improvement over its predecessor.
Now I stuck with Alpine as usually any head unit they do delivers on sound quality regardless of price.
I was skeptical that at £69 I would get the same sound as my previous unit coating twice as much.
Shouldn't have worried, it sounds even better and has adjustment for sub level, bass, mid and treble.
The iPod mode works brilliantly (with iPhone 5 and 6).
You do need it connected with the cable for full iPod control over the phone (playlists etc). No need to touch the phone at all.
Charges reasonably fast too but is only 1w, would have preferred 2w charging.
Does stream the audio and let's you change tracks when hooked up to the iPhone for Bluetooth only.
The iPhone does need to sometimes be reminded to connect though.
Bluetooth hand free for calls is great and the included mic with plenty of cable is a bonus to let you place the mix where you like. I'm currently experimenting with it placed just above the steering column near the rev counter. It's a noisy car so not expecting miracles here!
Given a Parrot hands free costs more than this the Bluetooth hands free makes it a bargain already.
The fact it produces great sound and works properly is like two cherries on top!
Seriously good value.
