Sorry for the delay in replying. The 3 series is lovely, quick and economical but perhaps a bit too big. My old 1 series (59 plate) was a bit more fun.
What 1 series was it?
No sadly it was a 118d M Sport. It's a matter of personal taste but before the 1 series I had three VW's last two being a GTI 150 diesel and a 170 GT and whilst less power the 118 was, in mine and my wifes, opinion a much better car and she isn't a fan of BMW's. We also test drove the GTD and a 120 sport before ordering the 320, and whilst out in the Golf she uttered the excellent words can't we have another BMW?
