Heck is stern so I would say rear wheel drive :D
Yes, Snoops, as we found out, it can be a problem when your uphill drive is DEEP in Snow, with a Merc that has the same orientation, it's just as well our old Landrover can come to their aid, using all four wheels :D

The switch serves as a simple way to interrupt the off-load current for electronic components on vehicles which are not in use (being transported, in storage). This increases the obligatory interval between battery recharging from 6 to 12 weeks (cost saving).
Vehicles that will have a long transport route or those for which longer storage times are envisaged (not in customer's hands), are equipped with this factory-fitted battery master switch.
Note:
The battery master switch is not fitted for all markets.

Google is your friend ;)

TU, Stands for a made on a Tuesday.. lol.. Only joking.. its just a code added to a lot of things .. Seems the Germans like to be very precise on the coding. That way they can make sure you get charged for every last nut and bolt..

I knew my baby was born in August 1999 so happy that I now have the 12th as the day.. Also have the James Bond headlights.. as its says 'Headlight aim control' bugger if I can find where the bullets go though.. Would be good for the M25... Links Links.. Mine duncoff... then hit the button.. lol.. hmmmm

It raises or lowers the lights if you have weight in boot

It would be simple if BMW referred to it as the headlight levelling system/device. You should set this to zero before you take it for the M.O.T test because if the tester has to adjust it to zero he/she is obliged to advise of this on the advice sheet !!! Honestly.

Updated as the original process (strike through) doesn't seem to be valid anymore. Replaced with a new procedure which does work!

There is an option to save the data as a PDF file, so you can keep it on file.

This works for both Z3 and Z4 models (and pretty much any UK BMW too!) and all you need is the last 7 digits of your VIN number.
  1. BMW's VIN decoder seems easiest to use.
  2. Go to http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html
  3. Enter the last seven characters of the VIN, and the Captcha characters.
  4. That will bring up your Z3's build data.

The PDF's look like this when created (using Rosie as an example 2001 2.2i Sport

Thanks Gaz. Useful gen. Didn't realise that the M steering wheel was factory fitted.

Cheers,
Jonno

Jim, if you PM me your email address and the last 7 digits of your VIN, I'll do the report and email it across to you.
