I thought the same but the HK amp is mounted to the right wheel side not under the hump like i was lead to believe.
mmm I'll have to have a closer look Ant. There is certainly some thing behind the hump, I thought it was the amp:oops:

This picture is like mine the square to the right side is where the amp is.
The facelift may be different though i suppose.

Beg to differ Ant. My amp is definitely behind the hump on the LHS. There is nothing behind the carpet on the RHS. Mine's one of the last, a 2002 model.

I, for one, will be installing a CD player in the boot so may need a humped carpet come spring time. This will supplement the cassette going into the dash replacing the god aweful light flashing Sony head unit!! Just old school I guess! JIM
