Greetings! I bought my first Z3 some years ago then replaced it with another to get cruise control, which my wife wanted. So the 2001 z3 we have now also has motorised hood, CD player in the boot and after some teething trouble, like a blown headgasket from the seller, it is a great car. The hood window is damaged. My fault, a rack on the boot lid punched two holes, and I would like to repair that. Maybe a new hood? I had an oil leak from the filter casing, but a bmw kit fixed that, tricky bolts though. Oh, early on I had water boiling trouble, it was a leak in the water lid pressure cap. The Z3 runs higher than boiling point, so loss of pressure there will boil into trouble. That took a while to realise, the new cap was a cheap fix.

Welcome to the Forum, all you will ever need to know can be found on here.
As we are Worldwide its a good idea to update your User details to show your location and exact model of your car so these details appear to the left of your posts or expand on your user if viewing on a phone. It assists us in answering questions and saves you typing them in each time you post a thread.
If you need a new hood then a lot of us on here use Jack Smith in Swansea for their new hoods, always good reviews on his work. There is a waiting list so you need to get in early to book. Lot of previous posts on here some with contact details.
