There is no "button" to do that Titan !!!!Titan said:If you backed them up to your laptop, why not reverse the procedure and restore them to your iPad?

The backup would restore it to the prevoius ios version. When upgrading to version 5 on all our phones and ipads we had to re download a lot of apps as they were not carried over in the upgrade. I suspect it is because the installed versions of the apps were not compatible with the latest ios version and so a fresh download would install them correctly again. I found that all the personalised settings for the apps were retained so it was a case of installing and then organising them as before.Titan said:There must be a way to restore a backup, otherwise there is no point creating it.
I suspect the answer lies in iTunes but unfortunately I don't have an iPad with which to replicate your scenario.
Can anyone else help here??

James, you are absolutely right about reloading the apps to be compatable with ios 5.1. It wasnt too bad as I could cull a few of the apps I no longer used. Thanks for all your help people. If anybody needs to do this on operation, drop me a pm as I have had a lot of experience and may help you through it...lolboard said:The backup would restore it to the prevoius ios version. You will have quite a few new features after the upgrade. you will be able to create folders etc now (i'm sure this wasn't in v4) so dragging an app on top of another app will give you the option to create a folder to keep groups of apps together.
