Love Campbelltown worked there at the naval base for 6 months in the late 80s , it was when the american airbase was still operating at Machrahanish
and the main road went across the airbase runway !

Glad you enjoyed my part of the world, you’d have driven past my house on your way from Inveraray to Tarbet.

Can fully agree, and recommend, the Argyll Hotel in Bellochantuy. Even though local we stayed there on a recent Z4 Forum run, great location and food was good too. Sometimes pop down for just food at the weekend.

It’ll be fish, not oysters in the cages 👍

Your road trip sounds like a fantastic adventure! The photos look amazing, especially the one with the massive bird near Bamburgh Castle!
