I use steam and the gliptone twins...Outstanding combo.
I have the gliptone products already but interested to hear how best to use the steam safely? Will it help remove the shine that occurs?
I believe steam will take out creases and tighten up loose areas.
Would a small hand held steamer be ok?

I used a hot gun to tighten the leather on my sport seat renovation and was really shocked to see the leather shrink when it got hot, I mean very hot, it looked great, however, the first time I drove it and got out I was equally shocked to see it was just as baggy as before.
I'm not a believer in leather products as the leather is painted and therefore non-permiable, all you are doing is treating the surface and not the leather.

Sean D is correct in Leather has a Sealant.
The best looking leather is one without products really. Just clean.
Yes is the answer for @Dino D .
You will have a clean supple leather seat. If you want to put a conditioner on after then do so as it will protect the sealant on the leather.
I use a watered down solution of APC and steam to great effect or Gliptone gentle leather cleaner and steam.
I cleaned @Low Rider seats and he was amazed how they come up.

Hi Jim,

Just use a damp non abrasive cloth with a weak mixture of APC in a bowl of warm water and wipe over every so often.
Do the back of the seat and dry and the same with the base and you will keep away the dirt and grime.
