Guys and Gals! This is the Thread for the actual Booking for Zroadster attendance at the London to Brighton. (so the “Interest Thread” will now close). Attached to this post is the form for booking which you can either post or email to @GeminiEvents. (you do not have to be a registered forum member to download, to use the form or to attend the event, though we hope you will join us). As usual the second post will be allocated to maintain the list of attendee’s. I have also reserved the third and fourth post for the Start Hotel and Finish Hotel Respectively.

We are also welcoming some Kit Car guys and/or other sports cars so we will have a couple of Porsche’s and Kit cars for definite with us (they like us just love their cars and some of you have already met them on the West-Country Cruises) I have arranged with @GeminiEvents that we have a separation so that the Zeds and our Friends don't get mixed up. Can’t have a lowly Porsche in the middle of the Zed procession, LOL.

As you will see we have been given a discount on the Price So it is £89 for us instead of £95 this is because we are signing up early and @GeminiEvents have said if we sign up in enough numbers they will continue to maintain the discount for us, So sign up early guys rather than wait. Whilst I am on that note the deadline for the latest entry is FRIDAY 8TH May 2015.

@GeminiEvents have also included for anyone who books onto the London to Brighton an entitlement to a FREE place at their Father’s Day show at Woburn Abbey on the 21st June, we just need to send in an entry form to redeem! (also attached! – Vehicle exhibitor form) There are a number of other events that @GeminiEvents are running on that form and I have asked Amelia to post a thread for each of them separately. (I have to say I think I fancy Knebworth Gardens as I could camp at that one)

It is important that if your thinking about Hotels please tick that on the form so that @GeminiEvents can gauge the Hotel interest and then negotiate on our behalf for us. They are talking to a couple about doing a deal where we can book direct with the hotel by using a code to get the discounted rate. The sooner we start getting some forms back with indications Then Amelia can push the hotels with the amount of interest we’re getting and negotiate a better rate. The aim is to definitely get something this side of Christmas so we’ll see how we get on. I on our behalf will start a London to Brighton Hotel “Interest” Thread so that those that are dependant on Hotels can express interest on there if they are awaiting hotel details before booking.

The £89 Fee Includes:
  1. Entry and parking fees in Greenwich Park
  2. Route book and list of entrants
  3. Personalised certificate of participation for the driver
  4. House tour at Saint Hill Manor
  5. Individually numbered London to Brighton Run commemorative rally plaque (This plate will be numbered and MUST be affixed to the front of the vehicle prior to arrival at Greenwich Park. )
  6. Commemorative brass finishers medal
  7. VIP Parking on Madeira Drive in Brighton reserved exclusively for participants use.
  8. Plus the experience of taking part in one of the most impressive displays of vintage, classic, kit and sports cars in the country.
  9. Free Entry to the Fathers Day Gemini Events Woburn Abbey 21st June (fill in the additional form Gemini 2015 Events” is all that is required)

You don't know how much I wish I could be part of this event. It sounds like it will be non stop fun from pre start to après finish. I'm just so glad to be able to enjoy all your hard work from afar, it won't be the same as being there but better than nothing at all. So, thanks and be sure I'll be eating up each and every post until there are no more!! JIM

Hi
I'm filling in the paperwork right now and planning to use hotels at start and finish.
My nephew has asked to come and he has just picked up a 1984 Ford Capri 2.0s - I thought he would fit in well with the Porsche group!!

. I think the Capri should be OK I will double check with @Gemini Events on Monday when they are back in the office but I think it will be fine. The Capri is after all a "sports coupe" is it not.

Hey! I've been looking at this and am really interested in giving it a go but I have never done any events before, do you have any advice for a newbie? I'm going to sign up after Christmas when there is a bit more money available but I trust this won't be a problem since the closing date isn't until May! Also, just out of interest, do they group the cars with models together or is it just sorted by when the applications are received?
Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance :)

Hi @Z3Parker,

@La_vida_diver will be able to confirm the details better, but we would expect to go as a group and therefor park up together. Hopefully will get some ID badges made up so we can spot each other in the crowd when not by our cars.

, do you have any advice for a newbie?
Advice is easy, just sign up come along find some of the usual bad eggs... myself, @Nutty_Hazel, @GazHyde etc etc and get introduced to everyone. if you want to avoid the bad eggs just chat to anyone with a Zed they will all greet you with open arms! it is a great bunch as many will attest to.:welcome:

, Also, just out of interest, do they group the cars with models together or is it just sorted by when the applications are received?
When the applications are received they split into the two main departure times (more on this in my next post) but if we get the numbers we expect then we will have a couple of groups but at the minute no hard and fast decisions on that have been made as it obviously depends on the numbers we have coming. we usually get all the cars together as it makes a better spectacle. @Gemini Events are anticipating we are a special group so special arrangements will be notified before the event dependant on numbers as I say.

Yes we have done ID badges in the past and something will be available on the day but that level of detail yet I have not talked to @Gemini Events about yet

Yes I agree I have the same from North Devon so am planning on doing something on the Saturday and doing a hotel Saturday night to arrive at the Sunday event early for the early part of the event. Some who live more local may however prefer to do the later kickoff on Sunday and travel to the event on Sunday morning so I am trying to cater for that as well.
