So, thanks to the difference in the S54 oil cooler housing & M52, the power steering pump mount is different & the alignment is off so the belts don't run properly.

I ordered an S54 power steering pump lol

The accident had nothing to do with the bungy, it was a pry bar to the radiator.

Soooo the S54 hose is totally different & cannot fit. I called a hose repair place 32 miles away, they insisted they can swap the banjo the S54 pump needs to my hose, I drove there & (A) the woman at the counter acted like I was making up the call, the guy I spoke to came out and said oh sorry no.

WTF????

I went the the hole in the wall shop I found for the Sequoia & they did it in an hour, getting it in is an adventure, I'll start over tomorrow.

Drove the Z a bit over 40 miles round trip on the freeway. It's a freaking blast!

Soooooooo. I'm on top O' the world, all is well, car feels great, went on several fun in the sun drives (until it got too hot & the no AC due to heat on all the time made it no fun) and I hit the brake & it needs 10+ times the pressure.

Booster or MC more likely & is there a upgrade like on e30s to I want to say an old 750 MC (e32?)

I just bled the entire system with Motul full synth.

The sensor for the AFR/boost gauge is defective. Reads 22.4 when revved and 7.4 at idle.

Searched forums, found it's a known issue if the gauge does not like the ground.

Opened the pita to open center console ran the ground to a bolt holding the gas pedal assy on the car, no change. As I bought the PSB1 direct, called Innovate. After some drama, they are sending another O2 sensor.

I have one I bought for the Sequoia that disappeared, searched and searched, then it occurred to me I put the new one in the box the gauge came in.

Mystery solved!

  • Last year Toyota repaired a cam tower seep in the Sequoia. Last Saturday I went to change the plugs, there is severe oil leakage into the tube I get they have to verify themselves but (A) who makes up a spark plug tube full of oil & (B) who opens a valve cover to damage the gasket?

They determined it needs to be replaced & gave me a '24 Highlander loaner. (last year it was a '23 Tacoma)

I had intended to have the Z aligned today but canceled because I had to go to Toyota. On the way home I called Firestone. They got me in, I dropped the Z off on the way to the airport to drop my Daughter and it was ready when I got home.

    It feels amazing!
