Good to hear it all went smoothly

Just out of interest, what is up with your throttle cable?

If you need a replacement I have a good method and company for getting a new one. As BMW have none in stock (of my cable anyway)!

Peugeot use 7mm nuts on various parts on their older vehicles, so did Talbot. I have some if you get stuck.

Its good thinking really though Tony, one up for the Germans.. nobody loses a 11mm socket, totally unlike the 10mm

Mine was like that too! Most of the outer insulation had come off and rusted the metal outer

If your car is a 4 cylinder then bmw might still have cables in stock, however for my 2.8 they didn’t have any.

I would still check tho just in case

https://zroadster.org/threads/source-of-throttle-cables-found.73269/ - This is a link to my thread on how I got a replacement and the end result

PM me if you need more details
