Just to wrap this thread up. I never did find out why this Zed goes so fast, BMW couldn’t help with part numbers. Only they did confirm the Vin is strange and could of been a demo car originally.

The re-assembly went smoothly had to drill out two exhaust studs. The test drive revealed air in the brakes so a quick bleed all round sorted that.

Another happy Zed owner.
