well done Marc.

sadly i have now lost any little bit of respect i had left for Lorenzo after his strop on Iannone just because he thought he got a 'tow' from him in the qualifying session. it was fair and Square Jorge.......he went faster than you! get over it!

all i can say now is....come on G.O.A.T........world championship no 10 please.

No, getting a "tow" isn't fair and square but it isn't illegal either. I can't see how they can stop it but if the guy in front has to watch the guy behind getting a tow and benefitting from the hole in the air he can't concentrate on doing his best either. Lorenzo is a great rider but I hope Rossi hangs on to his lead. As for Marquez, he's the future for a long time to come, and he doesn't whine like Stoner so he gets my vote.

Tony.

I don't remember Stoner moaning that much Tony, a bloody good rider that could muscle a bike around a circuit, one of the few to tame the Ducati.

You are correct about Marques though, very special rider.

Stoner a very, very good rider and I totally agree re the Ducati, he did what Rossi couldn't. But, yes he was a whinger !:)

ok, so Iannone's tow was a bit naughty but as you said not illegal. i just get wound up by Lorenzo's stroppy attitude when it doesn't go all his way. you wants to be popular with fans......change your attitude!
Marquez is the future but i would like to see Rossi gain just one more world title.
Kent may be one to watch if he carries on the way he is going and can handle a moto 2 and moto gp bike.

Yeah, I'm really rooting for Danny Kent surely one for England's future. Lorenzo comes across as a bit surly but maybe that's just his competitiveness. I think you have to have a bit of this if you're lacking slightly in the talent stakes.

i think i am right in saying that if Kent wins the moto 3 world title, he will be the first Brit since Sheene in 1977.

This lad just lived up the road from me.......

Hans Spaan won his first home race, 125cc race in 1989 at Assen.

Four Dutch riders have won Grand Prix races at their home circuit; Paul Lodewijkx the 50cc race in 1968, Wil Hartog the 500cc race in 1977, Jack Middelburg the 500cc race in 1980 and Hans Spaan the 125cc race in 1989

Controversy in the MotoGP, if you can't beat em, just kick em off!!! Marquez has been inside the head of Rossi for a few weeks now but IMO Rossi is well out of order!

Rossi comes in to the corner looking for Marquez, sits him up and then kicks out at him! Hmmm a little bit of the magic around Rossi has just disappeared for me.

Bugger, can't post the video because of copyright!

Edit: must have watched this replay now 20 times, Rossi is bang out of order!!!!!, nothing wrong with a bit of gamesmanship but in the words of yoda, a line in the sand he has just crossed.

yeah, i couldn't believe he did that!
i have been a huge Rossi fan for years but that little incident was out of order.
i don't think Marquez was playing with him either last week or this but if he was this week then it's Rossi's own fault after his verbal attack in the pre-race press conference.
he has been penalised 3 points for that which puts him 7 in front so he has to finish in the top 2 at Valencia to win the championship.
i think he has blown his chance with his temper this weekend.

MotoGP Race Director explains Rossi punishment
26 October 2015

"As I said to [Rossi], it doesn't matter what the provocation is. You can't react in a way that causes a rider to crash"

“Valentino said it was clear to him that Marc was deliberately slowing down the pace and making it difficult for Valentino to race. That he deliberately ran wide in the turn in order to give himself an advantage in order to get away from Marquez".

“Finally, we actually believe there is fault on both sides.

“Despite what Marquez said we think he was deliberately trying to affect the pace of Valentino. However he didn't actually break any rules. Whatever we think about the spirit of the championship, according to the rule book he didn't make contact. His passes were clean. He rode within the rules".

“Rossi's evidence is that his foot came off the foot-peg as a result of the contact. From all the video evidence there is no clear shot that definitely shows that his foot slipped off the foot-peg because of contact or that he deliberately kicked. I don't have that as a 'smoking gun' if you like.”

Because Rossi already has one Penalty Point he will be forced to start the Valencia season finale from the back of the grid.
