do you have a service light on?
after a drive put your hand on the rear wheels, are they warm/hot?

A little update .well after spending nearly £600. On new maff.o2 sensors etc and 6mths doin mi fk head in i think the prob may be solved for the sum of £6. ******** hell. Changed the 3 rubber blankers on the bulkhead side of the inlet manifold as sugested by Murray Wall and seems to have cured it .on the run up to Ayr via the dales uphill n down dale not hanging around 27.9 mpg.on the blast thro galloway forest 2nd 3rd gear red line driving over 100ish miles 25.1 mpg then home at a steady 79mph 33.6mpg so im happy wi that.
Cheers Murray.

I have started logging my 3.0 fuel to see what sort of overage I am getting. Funny thing is when I visit the Zed Shed with @Lee and @GazHyde not forgetting @Oldguysrule my fuel seems to plummet... @Nodzed do you suffer from this when visiting the Shed too ?

You average should be better than mine @MAURICE THE MARTIAN as you would of course drive more gentile.... :ymdevil:

Could you post some pictures and part numbers of the bits you changed please Mozz. Might be worth checking these on mine if only due to the age of my car?

Tony.

Pleased to see that you have fixed it and that my pictures were helpful.

The style of manifold that has the ports and blanking plugs are fitted to the M52TU and M54 engines. As the M54 engines are fitted to Z4's, then this issue also affects some Z4's that have the M54 engine.

I have not had any experience with the N52 engines in the later Z4's so can't comment on them.

Enjoy the summer driving and Euro tour.
