My first encounter with 108s was on @GazHyde's Z3 and thought one day I'll might like a set, even tho I liked and still do my 78s but for me they are a real pain to keep clean as my Z3 lives outside.

So this year I started to look for a set of 108s and with @NODZED's help I managed to purchase a set at the right price and as a bonus @NODZED - Niall picked them up and delivered them to me. Thanks again mate.

Looking a little sad and in need of some TLC they sat in my garden waiting for a dry day for me to give them a dam good wash down.

Only looking at the pics on my phone but it seems they don't look good because of the muddy state of the tyres. Good wash will improve things quite a bit. 108s are the only thing I'd swap my 135s for - How much were they?
I'm split between refurb and replace.

Took them to my local tyre fitter to have the tyres removed making them lighter and easier to transport to my brother's to split them.
With care and some force we got them split with only one bolt snapped off.
With some heat applied. WD40 and a large pair of mole grips the little sod gave up and we won the battle.
I managed to purchase a set of 3
Titanium Split Rim M7 Bolts from ebay for £7.

Mark put them in a stripper to remove the bulk of the old finish.
The next day he shot blasted them.

Looking good Steve, I have an idea what colour centre I'm going to go for when I have mine done. Certainly easy to clean.

Tony.

So decision made then I looked at @Shortie_gal - Sam's 78s on her Z3 at Santa Pod finished in Dark Anthracite and thought the Darker the better.

I love the dark but i went for it as i have a grey car. Might be too much dark on a black car? Unless the bat mobil is where youre headed? :p:joyful:

Monday a quick call to Mark asking him to hold off until I'd had a chat to him.
Popping round we spoke about what he could offer me. We came up with a Metallic Black for the spokes which will match my paintwork with a Sparkling Silver for the rim. I'm still not sure if that decision is right but making no decision isn't the answer either.
Watch this space to see how my choice turns out. More to follow .......

I'd thought the same Sam but 78s have more metal where as the 108s only have 5 spokes. Time will tell.
