Hi all. New member, bought a fairly tired 1.9 narrow body 6 months ago, probably paid too much, but commited now and underway restoring. So far, I've sorted the brakes, lines, calipers, pads, chassis mounts, exhaust, cat, replaced and fixed seats, centre console to aluminium, new speakers front and back, new door cards, new wing mirror, refurbished style 68 alloys, lowered 30mm added, spacers, fixed the electric roof, and Ariel, recovered my wheel, and resprayed over a bad scratch (not pleased with that, work in progress). New sliders on windows, new leather gaiters and knob fitted. Got a new to me rear bumper to go on next and thinking about a new rear screen. Getting there!! Would have been totally lost without the forums. Dot ask how much I've spent 🤣

Rude to ask how much we spend on our cars! Like asking a lady her age!

Welcome.

Yeah, the impeller is plastic and pressed onto the metal shaft. The plastic eventually cracks and the impeller stops turning. So it goes from running perfectly to a very fast overheat and potentially a headgasket failure. The very epitome of "a stitch in time". There's plenty of help and info on here about doing the job.

Hi and welcome from me in north Oxfordshire. For a bit more than a genuine rear screen you can get a whole new roof fitted from Jack Trimmers in Swansea about £350.
Hi yes I've spotted people getting that done, just a bit of a hike to Swansea.. anyone do it for that price in the north?
