Hi Peter,
Late reply I’m sorry to say but better etc. I live in Hemel (Warners End Area) and have been waiting since 2014 for someone local to join this great group of Z fanatics. Had a Z3 2.8 for 11 yrs before getting my first Z4 Coupe 3.0 E86 then took @t-tony ’s Z4 e85 roadster off his hands after eating humble pie since I always said I didn’t like the Z4’s. My Z3 never saw the inside of a BMW dealers garage or any other garage (except for Mot) whilst in my ownership. What It did see is
Tony’s northern Zed Shed along with @Lee Southern Zed Shed along with other Zs. The info gained from this great group was and is invaluable to help keep these wonderful cars running with minimal expense. Here’s a couple of pics of the Zs I maintained myself with only one mot failure in 9yrs which was taken home and fixed then back to get mot

I know everyone likes photos - so here's a few from last year. It's put away for winter in the lock up now, not to see the light of day until April. Not long to wait now!!
It's Sterling Grey with black leather seats and black hood if anyone is wondering. All original. I would have preferred a Blue one but spent ages searching without any ticking enough of my boxes - so settled for this one - and I'm really pleased with it.
Incidentally, the cover is a genuine BMW Z3 one and was with the car when I bought it. It's no more than a dust cover really and certainly not robust enough or waterproof for use outside long term.

Great looking car! I wouldn’t go folding the mirrors in unnecessarily if I were you😬, although your car seems to have led a charmed life, so they’re probably fine.

Yes good tip, the wing mirrors fold okay but I was nervous the first time I tried to fold them in! Had them apart to get them re-sprayed to correct a few scrapes! Fully greased up and ready to go now....

Hello Roy,
Nice to learn of someone local. I'll keep an eye out for you and probably have already passed you by without realising it. You've clearly a lot of experience with Zeds and have had some great cars. I fully intend to tap into the forum knowledge base as I continue my refurbishment journey.
Cheers for now!
