I am a new member. I have two z3. aone is a 2.8 98 model in black and the other one is a 99 model in silver. I could do with some thought on why my fuel guage does not work on the 99z it is not the guage as i have tried another cluster so it is likely to be the sender itself or wiring. Does anyone know whether the sender is repairable or where to purchase a replacement.

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum from the other side of the Pond. The cars look great! You'll notice that Miller 1098 also has two. He has a nice Boston Green one with a boot rack on the the back, same as mine. Frankie

Welcome mate, you don't know what you have let yourself get into here

P.S the sender can be removed from the lid assembly quite easily and replaced by either a new or secondhand part. You may even be able to spot the dodgy contact if you like fixing things.
