To be fair that (is) was outside a primary school, and 50m from a residential home - re my previous message, the instructor said that the camera was apparently installed after a child was knocked down and killed - how true that is I dont know but I hope notI've never seen one outside a school or old folks home or in a residential street where kids play. There's speeders in those places but just not enough to earn a fortune in fines.
The road itself is probably a mile long and down hill, apart from 1 slight bend (just before the camera) its quite wide and the majority of houses are set back. You can get up speed easily - thankfully my house is a right turn just before it so I rarely go straight past it but I can see how an accident could have happened.
