Still open to 17s, the standard wheels are 17, but most dished DTM wheels (my preference) I can see for sale are 18.
Looking at the arches, seems 9J will fit without changing ET, if I go for 9.5J what's the best offset 34-37?

I'd expect that to be pretty much flush for offset with a 9.5j.
These wheels are also available in 18x9.5j ET24 but the offset of the 18x8 Et20 front will purtrude the arch by 15mm or so. People do run this on a Z. Ways and means.

I like those, seen something similar but they're 8.5J front and 9.5J rear, I was a bit concerned they'd be a tad too wide... Your 9J look to fill the arches really well, that's the look I want. Do you have spacers as well, or is that just the wheels? Do you think there's room for 9.5J?¡

Its more of a factor of personal preference and budget.
The blue car is fitted with nice shinny ones.

What spacing did you use to fit 10J?
One of the wheels I'm considering is 9.5J, I was concerned that may be too much, but I guess it could be OK.
I dont remember off hand but its even more complicated as I have narrowed the rear of the grey car using Z4 hubs so it reduces the width 22mm per side.
Ah! You've saved nearly an inch there, I guess that's why you can fit 10J wheels... I was thinking 18x9J was possibly the largest that could fit without modification, the 9.5J wheels are ET42 rear... I reckon they may be too close to the strut unless I add spacers, but then will they be too close to the arches...? Guess I need to get underneath and take some measurements.
18x9.5j et 42 will be perfect. Infact, the Blue 2.8i above which is owned by @Delk wife is 18x9.5j et 37.
Car was previously owned by a forum member whom I have used as a baseline measurement for wheel fitment.

Delks 10j wheels have a 295 width.
From memory Ant ran a 265/35/18 with these wheels. A little dependent on what you run on the front to match the rolling radius.

245 on the front and 295s in the rear.
Yes I used 25mm spacers on the rear, 9.5 should fit with the right offset? 8.5 on the front may increase tramlinimg.
The 8.5J fronts are putting me off... I'd rather use 8J front and 9J or 9.5J rear, but struggling to find what I was looking for...
I don't think you will have issues with Tram lining on the 8.5 wheels. @Dino D has a 245/40/17 square setup for his track car.
I will be using an 8.5j et41 in the front with a 225. Ill be surprised if my tramming is made worse with 0.5 of an inch more wheel and the same tyre.
