I remember somewhere, someone saying as the service becomes due that the computer retards the engine causing fuel consumption to go up,and engine to get lumpy. so that when you have it serviced you see a big improvement, not sure if this is true?

Sorry everyone, the TT is the wife's!
Great stable mates though:) Welcome to the forum.

I think Yocky is right about the service, we get between 30 - 35mpg with our 2L, depending on whether it's a long run or not:happy:

Checked air filter etc, seem fine, pretty sure the plugs are original, think, nay hope that's my problem. Have ordered oil n filter as a matter of course, could be a busy weekend! Will update next week. Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Aldo
