Hi all,
Just picked up my 3.0 last weekend. Lovely motor. Took a while to convince the other half though. Bit of fettling required, give it a good clean and one if the front calipers is sticking, but everything else seems in order.

Welcome from Nottingham. Sticky front callipers are a common problem, but when used regularly they don't seem to be. The 3.0 is also the best Z3 bar the M

Thanks, thought it might be. Had one of those moments where you smell the burning smell and think "is that me?". Bit of concern at the heat it generated too.

The 3.0 is so effortless. :D

Really happy with the step up from mx5.

Welcome @Crispie!

Quite common to get a sticky caliper on cars this age, my first Z3 had one stick on it's test drive before I bought it. Anyways, enjoy it and post pictures when you can.

Going back to the calliper post. I would purchase 2x new ones then you can get them painted before putting on the Z. Its a lot easier that way.

Hi Chris and welcome from me up near Lincoln. Great car you chose, I had a Mazda before my Z3 too. Had a friend from Poole when I was at college near Southwell Notts. 40 years ago.

Tony.

When I noticed the caliper was 'a bit hot' I was in homebase car park. The only liquid I could find in the shop was Comfort Ironing Water. Very fragrant.
Looks in good nick? Nice colour:thumbsup:
