Hi Andy,
I think it is. No leaks on the driveway. Hasn't used all the engine oil in the 300 miles I've done since getting it. Fingers crossed as always when getting a used car :nailbiting:. Booking in for a service tomorrow.

That's good news and good luck with your service. No expert but these motors seem to be fairly robust, just a bit of TLC due to age I suppose.

Hi Crispie great choice of car you have and enjoy. The sticking calipers are a fault across the range at that time so either new caliper or refurb you existing ones.

High Crispie and welcome from me in Hertfordshire, had same prob not long ago so changed both, no probs when ther're used regularly, a bit of heavy braking an a quiet road after lay up also helps keep it at bay. Rha, Roy.

Welcome from the Highlands.

I got my 3.0 Z3 earlier this year. Loved it from the outset & I'm enjoying it more, the more I drive it. The only problem I had was a sticking front caliper. Mine had done low miles & the calipers looked in far better nick than on my 4 year old DD, so I just went with a new piston & seals - easy job if you're handy with spanners.

Sure is, thats just down the road - was just for a little run.
Here's a few more from when I collected from Swansea.
I had to take off the chip pan grills on the nostrils though. Or whatever they're called :)

Hi Chris, a good looking car mate. Chrome thing going on like mine, gills and door handles, just missing the chrome stone guards.;)

Tony.

Hi all,
Just picked up my 3.0 last weekend. Lovely motor. Took a while to convince the other half though. Bit of fettling required, give it a good clean and one if the front calipers is sticking, but everything else seems in order.

Chris

I'll have to pop down to the open top evening down in Poole. That'll be a good sight to see.
