Hi, I require to replace the offside seal for the BMW Z3, which seals from the hardtop to the window, because it leaks water and has holes in it. I want to buy a universal seal or an aftermarket seal, but don't know which one would fit! I believe the part number on the realoem website is: 54218410462.
Please, can anyone advise on what a compatible seal would be? If I have to buy it from the main dealer, it is over £133. Please help me. Any questions, please ask.

I really don't think you will find a 'universal' seal that will fit. If you pull the seal out you will see it has quite a unique profile that fits snug under the lip of the roof. It's just a push fit so no adhesives, clips or hidden screws. It just fits.

Personally I wouldn't be too happy about paying 133 either. But I would pay it just to get the genuine well fitting seal rather that risk it with a generic weather seal that'l likely let water in or go flapping down the motorway when you wind down the window at speed.
