I'm with Redline. If farmers must use larger and larger machinery, they should either restrict it to the fields, where it belongs, or employs a convoy vehicle to warn other road users ahead of the obstruction. If the tractor could not move over, I would have reversed, VERY SLOWLY!

I couldn't as there were cars behind me, going nowhere too.

I feel your pain Tony, done mine 3 times since the refurb and those so called rim protectors don't work .
As said though at least it happened before refurbing.

That is the worst noise ever even worse than chalk on a blackboard ( that's for those of us who can remember that )

Happened to me with a car coming towards me overtaking a parked car and bullied his way past.

That reminds me of another similar event when I had to stop to let a car in a rush come towards me so I gave a happy way and went on my way only to be followed down the road by the car and driver who cause me to stop. Wasted even more time in the conversation in the shop carpark just down the road. He found some new combinations of words as well

The sound they make against the curb is a GRATING sound. The grinding sound you heard was probably your teeth reacting to the grating sound.................Frankie
