And here's the welcome from this side of the pond from a south Jersey boy. Have been reading everything on this post and see that you've really jumped into the water feet first. Sounds like a lot going on but seems like you've got a good handle on it. See that you've got ah MB 190. Almost bought one 40 years ago for $1500. It needed a valve job. About 10 years ago, I was shocked to see them going for well over $20,000. Sorry I didn't buy it.
I usually tell the new members how great everyone is here on the forum, but I see you've already had a chance to see for yourself. Hope everything will work out for you getting your car soon and in good condition. Frankie

Thanks Frankie, there's a 63 190sl on ebay for.....$325,000 US. A barn find in UK for $60,000 US. I'm working on mine slowly, gathering parts, and getting close to just do in' it. Got lots to practice on. The zee's for my 9 year old granddaughter Trinity. Lookin forward to it. Later, JIM

Hi Mint and Joey, wow this is certainly an enthusiastic crowd. Car should be about 2weeks from shipyard east to Halifax, clear customs storage in my friend's garage in Dartmouth till the weather is nice enough to fly out and drive it home. I'm hoping for April so it's here when my new grandson arrives in May from Santiago, Chile where my son lives. I have a 76 tr7, 76 mini. 58 Benz 190SL and several other benzzz. Along with a bunch of 50s-60s chev Pontiac stuff also 66 mustang 289-271 hp with a few others sprinkled around the back of my property. Just bought a CD 6 disc for £10 sitting in the car waiting testing. So maybe? Later guys, JIM

Hi Chris, I thank you sooo muchhhh!!! I did contact one or two of the Pro Valet site just never got a response. May not have been the one you provided though as they appear to be a big co. Will get right on this and keep you informed. Sure wish I'd seen the link to the Forum sooner but better late than sorrow as the saying goes.JIM

Welcome,

I'm glad one of my various 'for sale' ads has brought you to this forum.

It is a wonderfully friendly place to learn about and enjoy Z3s

Enjoy the car when you finally get it!

THANKS!! You're giving me yours!!! Probably not? Well, I can hope that when I do my search there's as worthy a car to be had. And thankfully you did lead me here, you people make me want to move over the pond and ride along with you. Hopefully Chris' contacts can get me cleaned up ready for the red tape police and I can finally get the car on the boat. How's the new baby, just had my first grandson jan 4 but he's in Santiago, Chile but will be coming for a visit in May. The Z's for Trinity my 9 year old granddaughter and she's more excited about getting out on the road than me. Good luck with the sales, later, JIM

They are the best. Trinity lives with us and her favorite spot is working in the shop with me. When she was three she helped put all the screws, nuts and bolts together and tightened them all. The reason I'm getting the Z3 is she came to me and said " let's get a z3 gramps or a ford F-150" so gramps went hunting and that's brought me to you and your crew. Wish I could afford to fly over, spend the summer cruising and ship the car then. Do you put lots of miles on your car? I live rurally and the closest city is Winnipeg. That's a 120 km drive to meet with anyone, and there aren't that many cars around but lots of other brands and I'm not particular what I cruise with.

Belated welcome Jim from Bonzo and Zelda. My eldest grand daughter (3) is fascinated by grand dad's "Car with a tent on top." We are expecting a new grandson in the next 48 hours, awaiting the call to zoom off and look after 2 grand daughters (little angels) while mum is producing. She will have 3 little ones under 3 years of age! Looks like we will be busy!

Cheers,

Bonzo.

Good to meet you both. You got your track shoes on? Sounds like you'll need them. I can't believe the replies welcoming me to this forum. Lots of good people over there, nice to see you all get along and play nice together. Keep in touch, JIM

Hi, believe me, I've been thinking about it. But with the costs involved not likely going to happen. It's been a while since I've been on a good run and have never been to the UK. Spent time in most of western mainland Europe travelling on vacations through the years though and loved every moment. Honour a few Guiness' for me and cruise safely. JIM
