That would be nice for our Wedding Anniversary today! 48 years , don't know how she's put up with it. 
I have seen a lot of Z3s going to auctions lately; Mathewsons, car & classic and Anglia auctions. Not just 'unicorn' ones, either.
I wonder if they are struggling to sell elsewhere, hence the auctions?

And I guess if 'you know who' removes zero tax on 40+ year classics there will be a fair few more following suit. Imagine if you have say 4 classics, not unreasonsble, to be able to go for a spin on a dry sunny day when such happens in 'off season' period does the car, and owner good. To keep them continuously taxed in the hope of an occasional run out isn't viable, so they'll just sit there - or go to auction.
Now if you had one set of historic registration plates, transferable at will, a bit like trade plates, tax paid, you can please yourself. But of course that ain't going to happen, bit like my comment a year or so ago about "wonder how long zero tax on classics is going to last.
Have a look at the videos titled 'Classic Cars in London' - so refreshing to see them out and about giving one finger up to the ULEZ lobby.

My guess is £9k or unsold, judging by the market and time of year.
I'm not an expert by any means, but 'collectors' usually want the highest models of a range. A mediocre model, even in the best condition with ultra-low mileage is never going to be a great investment. And no matter what anyone thinks, 'collectors' are all about investment and hedging their bets.

i did a search for a car like mine yesterday, and only one car came up, and it was in france.....24900 euros..

While there is no specific, live listing available right now matching all your criteria in the initial search results, examples of this exact combination (Turkish Green, 2.8 engine, wide body) have been available in the past and are sought after by collectors
so i guess the value will always be what someone wants to pay for it, and the reasons for ownership, so like mr pond says, its not a great investment car, i would probably say the only z3 investments are the m/// especially the clown shoe.

In my naivety I always thought 'collectors' were rich old men (usually American) with limitless money who have huge buildings with many rare cars in them.
I heard recently that many 'collector' cars have been bought by international hedge funds to be squirreled away until they realise their investment potential. Could be the reason why so many classic cars' values have rocketed in the past two decades. Look at what an AM DB6 is worth at present!
