More talk of cakeWhat a bummer Frankie.
His first and only Z3 rear window installation is what retired him.... found an installer who made DVD's on installation and would have installed mine for $100.00 so he could make a video of it. This was a few months ago. When I contacted him now, he had already installed one on a Z3 and no longer was making the offer. I asked him how much he wanted and he said... he's retired now and not interested in doing it at all...
Just ordered this one this morning before I went to work.Viewed your video just now, Frankie. You are a brave man to attempt to put a new rear window in single handed! At least you provided a snap shot of the starting process which is useful. It's just unfortunate that the first steps uncovered a more serious problem with the soft top. However, a replacement Top will give your car a new look!
Best wishes with that!
David.
I know @Lee changed the hood (canvas) on his. He said it was a relatively easy job with 2 people... Not sure how one man and 3 dogs would cope though?Just ordered this one this morning before I went to work.

We'll see what happens next. Don't think I'll attempt to install it myself. Frankie
If I had to stretch it out over the frame, they would have to hold it in place with their teeth.I know @Lee changed the hood (canvas) on his. He said it was a relatively easy job with 2 people... Not sure how one man and 3 dogs would cope though?

What's a brummie? JIMA friend at work recently changed his soft top on his MX5 and he said it was relatively easy too. Only had to re tension a couple of areas. That was just him and a brummie..no dogs or sheep.
