It may be worth looking at something like this if you want the silicone to attach direct to your engine. The inlet on the side of my engine isn't 90mm but the 90mm one fits straight over the OEM short plastic pipe and clamps to it with no issues. I just didn't want to take everything apart to measure the inlet then put it all back together while I wait for it to arrive. Maybe I will change it further down the line when I've finished doing the other bits I've got planned. I'm not sure if 85mm is the correct size so measure it before you order.

Iff u talk to most engine tuners,they will tell u the air filter needs to be at least 5-6 inches away from the Maf sensor , to give a smooth linear air flow, sometimes the cone filters make the airflow swirl around the Maf iff the filters to close it, which may trigger ure dash lights , iff that helps.

Think mine just scrapes that but will measure it tomorrow just to see.

So it's been running for a little while now with the air scoop and hose attached and the management light hasn't come back on so fingers crossed it's all good.
