as title, came on this morning, fluid level is ok, its intermittent (goes back off after about 20 seconds only to come back on again if i brake)

hoping its just the pads as they do need swapping anyhow.
Hope new pads sort the problem - would be interesting to see what codes the diagnostics threw up........ no need for diagnostics, the exclamation light has gone out and is now replaced by the brake wear sensor light (not sure why the hydraulics light came on first) ....
he also said the rear discs were pitted and needs to be changed.That'd be why your friendly M.O.T. Tester advised your pads were low then, which also leads to longer pedal travel, something you as a regular driver would hardly ever notice increasing.
