He was removing a hard top Saturday and was hoping to reveal a decent roof underneath. Don't know what the result was I'd left by then.

What you guys don't know, is that after @Grumps left (just missed you guys by not a lot!), I arrived to take delivery of the hard top -- so Andy spent another hour taking apart the back of THAT car to remove the mounting kit...

Then it downed on us... Does the hardtop actually fit in the back of my X3??? Surely does, does it?

..... NO it doesn't... so it was mostly all for nothing, drove back home, and returned this morning with the Z3, and we fitted it all directly to the car instead....
