Installed now! :)
Raining though! :(

Easy job to do. The hardest part was peeling back the tape around the loom. Horrible stuff.
Then had to re-read the instructions to get the sequence to use it. Twice!
Works great though.

A word of warning!

My RCH+ stopped working today. Also, the power/lighter socket, while working, was unable to power and charge my mobile phone. It was only when I got home and came to find my phone completely discharged that I linked the two facts.

I've emailed gap-tech for advice. However, I suspect that the unit has failed, possibly blowing the fuse (not had chance to check that out yet). The power socket I suspect os sinking power through the gap-tech device rather than from its 12V supply.

While it was a doddle to fit, I suspect it will be a bigger problem to remove, especially with a view to replacing it. 5 connectors were hard enough to accommodate in the small space, but adding more will be a nightmare!
Anybody else used this and had similar problems?

RCH+ roof opener restored to service.
I simply pulled the fuse to the power socket to check it. The fuse itself was ok. Put it back and all worked again.
Looks like the device got all bitter and twisted and refused to work. A simple power cycle reset sorted it out.
Still awaiting an email back from GapTech as to why it could have happened. If I get a response I'll post it here.

I don't need this, nor do I particularly want it yet something compels me to buy it. Clever bit of kit.

I am still trying to find time to take mine to the local indie to reprogram my existing set up to accommodate this feature to my key

Great addition, better than BMW own set up. Very happy with mine!
