It's so good to see how a very special Zed get born in front of our eyes (and many labor hours from your side Sean!)!
I see something like a shadow in the paint: I think is written "Holidays"!
Merry Christmas Sean!

I still have a number of dilemma's such as wheel colour, mirror colour, rear bumper cut out colour and then theres the gil
Keep the bodywork colour consistent throughout - it will look great!! As for wheel colour it's an individual thing - Google cars with similar body colour and various wheel styles and colours - you'll find the right match! Good luck!!

Cheers David, I am using the same technique throughout so it should come together ok, I quite fancy bronze for the wheels but I don't think you can beat a nice bright silver, I am doing the gills, Mirrors and rear bumper cut out in anthracite,

Thanks Steve, I'm really pleased with the colour, most modern blues are actually red in colour, this one is more on the retro side as its a green, can't wait to see the whole thing in the sun, I'm not even going to tax it until April, if I can wait that long.

Retro is good and i think we're all the same as you we can't wait to see it all back together......and i don't think i could wait till April to tax it and get it out on the road to enjoy the fruits of all your hard work

@Sean d I have to disagree with the "nice" and "great" comments, that paintwork looks STUNNING! superb colour choice and so pleased you didn't go Kawasaki Green!

Thanks Smiffy, your words are really appreciated, I'm still not sure that I shouldn't have gone with the orange, but I am really pleased with the colour

With a car restored with your own hands any ride will be more sweet, more safe and more enjoyable!
The Zed will reward you plenty!

Just thinking about being able to get back to the restoration when you can, and after you have had your Christmas break, is great therapy! It also gives you time to think about the process. Can't wait to see the finished job though!

Another 8 hours today, flatted and polished the bonnet, that took virtually the whole morning, painted the A posts, detangoed and fitted the headlights, I was a bit concerned about splitting the bond, We had a Mitsi in the spraybake so I put them on the roof whilst it was baking, they had 45 mins at 70c and then a couple of mins with a hot gun, piece of cake, hot gunned the glue before sticking back together, just need some chrome bulbs now. I spent a good half hour gapping the headlights as they where all over the place.
