Will definitely keep in touch. What damage does yours have? I was thinking of doing some youtube videos when it gets above zero degrees.

I think if we found the right wire for the boot lock solenoid (ideally at the fuse box) 12v should cause it to open? Just can't find the fuse on diagrams... Good luck!
Front end. Pretty bad tbh. Airbags are out as well

Cant tell, if its the main from the battery then I don't think so as that's the circuit that needs to be avoided if the positive terminal breaker is activated, battery disconnected (or totally dead) all that will do is try to feed back to the battery same as the jump points under the bonnet, what you need to do is activate the cars electrical system without using the battery supply route. I was told its a nut directly beneath the multi plug (looking from the top) that normally has a plastic cap on it, I am assuming its not the supply to the battery? You are probably in a better position to find it than me tbh, but I am relying on a third party info.

Well now I'm confused, they way it was described to me looks like its the main power cable nut that he was talking about, but you said that didn't work?

There are also 3 options from above.
Should you connect to the post with the cable attached?
Should you connect to the post with the cable disconnected?
Should you connect to the disconnected cable?
What do you mean connect to the post?

Only thing I can unlock is the driver side door using the key not the fob. The fob doesn’t do anything.
OK - I am in a similar position. But I do have a tester device that shows the fob is creating a signal. I'm thinking the car / fob have lost their relationship. I still think that even with the battery safety wire blown we should get SOMETHING happening in the car when we press the fob, even if its just the door locks. That won't happen if the fob / car aren't talking to each other.

Also, if you don't have comfort entry (like me) we cannot just replace the fob battery, we have to resolder a new one in the fob. It's a stupid rechargeable battery that needs some fiddling around to replace.

Thanks Nodzed - something to try at the weekend.
So, this lunchtime I played with various non-alternator stuff - hooked up a battery jump pack then plugged in an OBD reader - the car and OBD port were dead. Tried pushing the key into the dashboard slot, nothing.
