Myroute? I 'm new to this, I should probably know what that is shouldn't I....

I have a Garmin Nuvi and it seems possible to do, because I did it by accident the other day. Cant be that hard can it? Famous last words ...

Will suss before setting off, am always happy to work the old fashioned way too (i. e. Paper)

Looking forward to it, see people at the meal if not before...

Following on from last years cruise I have decided to give it another bash in 2019. Date as in the title Sunday 28th April meeting at Prees Heath again at 10.00 first cars leaving shortly after for a run that is not yet planned but will probably go through Llangollen taking in the Horseshoe Pass, Bala and Oswestry. Very scenic, hilly and a great drive. Not exactly Shropshire but I am allowing myself some stretching of county borders. If there is enough interest for a meal on the Saturday night beforehand I have a country pub in mind that serves cheap guest beers, cheap wholesome food (about £8 main) with a very basic camping field at the back for the outdoor types. Have a few beers and be in bed in minutes. I might even camp myself for the fun of it. All very sketchy at the moment but I will firm it up in time if there is enough support.
Interested drivers make yourself known and I will start a list, if we get more than 5 cars I will need leaders to volunteer also.

  1. Me & Jeano
  2. Jim & Alicia
  3. Paul & Jacquie
  4. Handsomejack & handsomejill
  5. Nodzed & Ali
  6. Bozzy & Sara
  7. Lefrog & Barbara
  8. G8jka
  9. The Mints
  10. Alenod (& one)
  11. Colb & Mrs Colb
  12. AlanZ & Emma
  13. Chaz Ricorn. (Coming in a rice burner unless he finds a Z beforehand)
  14. Philip Baxter & Linda
Enjoy this year sorry I won't be there Taking the Z3 to Jersey for my birthday

PM me your email and I will send you an invite to myroute. You should be able to load the routes straight to your Garmin, more tech savvy folks on here can no doubt help if you struggle.

Tony.

got some of the routes up will try and get the others sorted before we leave thanks Tony....

we will probably shoot off towards the end of the run if we close to shrewsbury, as we staying there sunday night...

looking forward to it.... just a few little things to sort on the zed this week for the season and we should be ok...

think i going to run with a set of shabby style 44's for the weekend.. and save the 108s for zedfest and vanity... got some better speakers to rob out the 2.8 tomorrow, and an oil change imminent this week... if i get time this week may even get front shocks done...

Al, Angela..

If you decide to break off early you only really need parts 1 and 2 as that gets you to the afternoon rest stop at Nesscliffe. Then it’s an easy 15 minutes along the A5 into Shrewsbury.
Let’s hope for some top down weather like this weekend gone.

I hope everyone is all set and ready for next weekends Shropshire Mini Cruise. I have driven the last part of it today and all being well I will do the full route again on Friday to check for roadworks to avoid but fingers crossed we get no problems.
Several drivers have sent me their emails for invites to the route on Myroute so if you have a satnav get in touch by PM for the chance to download it.
For those that do not have satnav I will be leading a group and will ask for volunteers on the day to lead another couple of groups.
I will also make some simple road notes detailing road numbers or names, junctions to take and any useful landmarks along the way.
I will include postcodes for the lunch stop cafe and the afternoon service area stop.

No one will be “lost” at any time on the run, you will simply be temporarily unaware of your exact whereabouts.

Have fun, stay safe.

Tony and Jeano.

I don't think it will interfere but it's the Bike 4 Life event from Shrewsbury to Telford on Sunday but think it ends at 1pm. There should be a lot of motorbikes around the areas coming towards Shrewsbury throughout the day. Hopefully the weather will be OK as it's not looking great at the moment!
